Oversee the selection of instrumentation parts, such as controllers, transmitters, and sensors.
Troubleshoot, Inspect, test, maintain, repair, clean, and calibrate instrumentation and solid-state and microprocessor-based control equipment including plant communications, equipment, programmable controllers, distributive control systems, generator excitation equipment, battery chargers, and semiconductor devices.
Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motor starters, transmitters, etc. as needed.
Use CAD software to create schematics, diagrams, and layouts for control systems and put into practice control plans.
Make regular inspection rounds of plant instrumentation and control equipment
Assist in developing detailed preventive and predictive maintenance procedures for plant instrumentation and control equipment
Ensure that projects are finished on schedule and under budget by working together with key stakeholders.
Review and approve instrumentation and control system design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.
Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and other stakeholders.
Execute other assignments as may be directed by the Line Manager
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in instrumentation and control system design, analysis, and implementation
Proficiency in using CAD software for control system design
Experience with control system programming and software tools such as PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems
Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to instrumentation and control systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
